the image you just saw is at futurália 2026. an event created for portuguese adolescents to find universities and higher education courses. political parties are also part of this event and are there promoting their parties to young people with the support of their youth wings.
political literacy is important. while i was at futurália, i spoke with LIVRE and Bloco de Esquerda, who told me about their causes and goals.
while all of this is incredible, unfortunately, we have parties like CHEGA, who decided to feed adolescents like me with content of a discriminatory, stigmatizing and xenophobic nature.
these aren't just my words. NOVA FCSH, in a recent statement says the same:
NOVA FCSH was present at Futurália 2026, similarly to what occurred in previous years, with a stand dedicated to promoting its educational offerings and making contact with young people interested in pursuing studies in the areas of social sciences, arts and humanities. As a participating entity in this event, NOVA FCSH became aware, with particular concern, of the content promoted there of a discriminatory, stigmatizing and xenophobic nature.

and not only that. you also have the Management Council of the Institute of Social Sciences at ULisboa:
The messages and materials displayed at the stand [of CHEGA] — including posters with phrases like 'this is not Bangladesh', accompanied by graphs about immigration — promote an alarmist and stigmatizing narrative regarding migrant people. This type of discourse goes beyond the legitimate political debate of a political party about migration policies and approaches a rhetoric that associates entire groups of people with a social or cultural threat, that is, a racist rhetoric.

feeding the student and young community with this type of content is concerning, especially at a fair dedicated to critical thinking, respect and inclusion. to teens and students like me: don't let yourselves be fed with this type of content. seek the truth in the end. find a party you identify with, not the ones your friends follow.
Futurália: follow what, for example, NOVA FCSH and ICS-ULisboa say. don't be the place to promote this type of content to young people. this content is not only discriminatory but also racist.
